CityLink Offering Complimentary 2024 Peoria Historical Calendar in Exchange for Non-Perishable Food Donation on Nov. 15

The public can receive a complimentary 2024 Peoria Historical Calendar in exchange for a non-perishable food donation to the 36th Annual Stuff-A-Bus food drive at the CityLink Transit Center (407 SW Adams St.) or CityLink Administrative offices (2105 NE Jefferson Ave.) on Wednesday, November 15. Representatives from CityLink will be in the Transit Center lobby from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that day. The calendars will also be available at the CityLink Administrative offices from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. that day.

The 2024 Peoria Historical Calendar features photographs of local educational institutions, including public and private schools, and a very early photo of students at Bradley Polytechnic Institute, now called Bradley University. Since 1990, CityLink has produced the Peoria Historical Calendar to showcase the rich history this area has to offer.

The 2024 Peoria Historical Calendar will continue to be available at the Transit Center and the CityLink Administration offices for a suggested donation of $5.00. All proceeds collected for the calendar will be donated to the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service.

For the past 36 years, CityLink has hosted the Stuff-A-Bus food drive to help eliminate hunger in Peoria. With a long partnership with Kroger to collect enough food to stuff a classic CityLink bus, the donations collected during the annual food drive benefit the food pantry at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service. In a year, the Peoria Friendship House food pantry provides an average of 150,000 meals to those dealing with hunger in Peoria. The 2023 campaign began on October 20, and it will conclude on November 29. The goal this year is to reach a new record and collect 13 tons of food. Donations can be purchased or dropped off at all Kroger store locations in Peoria and East Peoria.
