Peoria Mustangs to Collect Non-Perishable Food Donations During Home Games on Nov. 3 and 4

The Peoria Mustangs Hockey Club is hosting a Stuff-A-Bus Nights at their upcoming games on November 3 and November 4 against the Oregon Tradesmen at Owens Center (1019 W. Lake Ave, Peoria, IL 61614).  Fans can bring a donation of a non-perishable food item or cash donation and receive free admission and a giveaway item courtesy of CityLink. The game time is at 7:00 p.m. on November 3 and 6:00 p.m. on November 4.

The Peoria Mustangs have a long-standing partnership with CityLink and the Stuff-A-Bus food drive.  They support the food drive by hosting Stuff-A-Bus games during their season, handing out shopping lists at participating Kroger stores and the players help with the unloading and sorting of donations at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service once the food drive concludes.  The players are hosting a food donation collection event on November 5, 2023 at the Kroger on Sterling from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Fans can stop by the store between these hours to help the Mustangs collect donations for Stuff-A-Bus. The Peoria Mustangs players will also be helping to collect donations at the 10th Annual Day of Stuffing event on November 17, 2023 at the Kroger located on Lake. This event is happening from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For more information on the Peoria Mustangs season, please visit www.peoriamustangs.com.

For the past 36 years, CityLink has hosted the Stuff-A-Bus food drive to help eliminate hunger in Peoria.  With a long partnership with Kroger to collect enough food to stuff a classic CityLink bus, the donations collected during the annual food drive benefit the food pantry at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service.  In a year, the Peoria Friendship House food pantry provides an average of 150,000 meals to those dealing with hunger in Peoria. The 2023 campaign began on October 20, and it will conclude on November 29. The goal this year is to reach a new record and collect 13 tons of food. Donations can be purchased or dropped off at all Kroger store locations in Peoria and East Peoria.
