ADA WOW! Discover and Learning Session on March 15
Join us for this FREE event hosted by the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (GPMTD) ADA WOW! Committee to offer the local ADA community information and training on how to effectively use the transportation services offered by GPMTD.
The event will feature information on all three services —CityLink fixed route bus service, CityLift paratransit service, and CountyLink rural transportation service — and include sharing updates to the GPMTD Paratransit Rider’s Guide, how to apply for CityLift service and the review process/timeline, how to purchase bus passes/tickets, and a review of using the CityLink website. CityLink Supports Human Trafficking Awareness Month
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and CityLink is supporting the Busing On The Lookout initiative with Truckers Against Trafficking. CityLink recently added four curb/passenger side signs on buses 2218, 2226, 2229, 2244 and interior signs in English and Spanish on all the fixed route buses. Public transportation can play a crucial role in the recognition and prevention of human trafficking. Below are two examples of the exterior and interior signs on the buses.
Unity-Point Health Wellmobile Screenings at Transit Center in 2023
The UnityPoint Health Wellmobile is hosting three health screening opportunities at the CityLink Transit Center in 2023. These screenings are available for FREE to those that wish to take advantage of the screenings.

- Friday, February 3: 7:30am – 10:00am
- Friday, June 2: 7:30am – 10:00am
- Friday, October 6: 7:30am – 10:00am
Health Screenings Offered
- Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol/Blood Glucose*
- Pulse Oximetry
*An 8-12 hour fast is required for Blood Glucose/Cholesterol portion of the screening. It is also recommended to drink 16 ounces of water or more before the screening. Take prescription medication as prescribed.
2023 Peoria Historical Calendar
CityLink’s 2023 Peoria Historical Calendar is now available! This year, the calendar features vintage photographs of local department stores, shopping complexes, and retail stores.
CityLink would like to thank the Virginius H. Chase Special Collections Center at Bradley University, Peoria Historical Society, and Peoria Public Library for providing the photographs and content for the 2023 Peoria Historical Calendar.
The 2023 Peoria Historical Calendar is available for a suggested donation of $5.00 at the CityLink Transit Center and the CityLink Administrative Office (2105 NE Jefferson). Local retailer Urban Artifacts (925 N. Sheridan) is also selling the calendar for a suggested donation of $5.00. All proceeds collected will be donated to the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service.
Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive in 2022 Set New Record
The 35th Annual Stuff-A-Bus food drive to benefit the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service officially concludes on November 30, 2022. The total weight of donations collected during this year’s Stuff-A-Bus food drive totaled 24,942 pounds or 12.47 tons. This is a new record collection for the Stuff-A-Bus food drive and it far exceeded the 11 ton goal! The previous record was in 2008 with 11.8 tons collected.
