New Construction Project Update – November 2021
Construction continues on the new paint/body shop, which is Phase A of the new maintenance and administrative facilities construction project for CityLink. The past month has been an exciting time for this project as we are starting to see the building take shape. The crew has been able to get going on the duct bank where the utilities will run underground from the existing South building to the new paint/body shop. ANJ Electric and Dries Bros Plumbing have been pushing to get this installed before the weather gets too bad. PIPCO completed the gas tie in the week of November 15 and GA Rich & Sons started on the sanitary sewer install the week of November 22. Mechanicals are also pushing very hard.
A&H Steel has been on-site installing structural steel, and it’s very exciting to see the building going up. Peoria Metro Construction and NE Finch have continued to work hard on the retaining walls, site backfilling and storm. The week of the November 29, the insulated metal panels will start going up. The goal is to get the roof on by the first week in January. Getting the building enclosed is top priority for the team at River City Construction.
