CityLink Welcomes Miguel A. Sanchez as Director of Safety and Training

CityLink recently welcomed Miguel A. Sanchez as its new Director of Safety and Training. He joins CityLink with more than 30 years of experience in operational leadership with a singular focus on safety. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University. Sanchez had a long-tenured career in various roles at UPS, and he most recently worked as the Environmental, Health and Safety Director at Chicago Magnesium Cast Co.

In Sanchez’s role as Safety and Training Director at CityLink, he leads and coordinates the development and implementation of comprehensive safety, security, occupational health policies and training programs for the organization. This role is also responsible for overseeing safety and security procedures, accident and incident handling, training and development initiatives.   Sanchez’s accreditations and certifications include:  

• OSHA-30 Certification
• Federal Hazardous Material Certification
• DOT Worker’s Compensation
• Hazardous Material Training
• ISO9000 Certification

Sanchez was raised in Chicago, and he is a bilingual Spanish speaker. He is actively involved with the American Society of Safety Professionals, currently serving as the Vice President for the Greater Chicago Chapter. Sanchez is looking forward to making Peoria his new home and becoming more familiar with the local community.
