CityLink Offering Free Rides on Nov. 18 & Nov. 19 in Exchange for Non-Perishable Food Donation

CityLink is offering free rides to passengers on CityLink fixed route buses with the donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit the 37th Annual Stuff-A-Bus food drive on Monday, November 18, and Tuesday, November 19, 2024. One donation is required per ride, and donation bins will be located on the buses.

For the past 37 years, CityLink has hosted the Stuff-A-Bus food drive to help eliminate hunger in Peoria. With a long partnership with Kroger to collect enough food to stuff a CityLink bus, the donations collected during the annual food drive benefit the food pantry at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service. In a year, the Peoria Friendship House food pantry provides an average of 150,000 meals to those dealing with hunger in Peoria.

The 2024 campaign began on October 18 and will conclude on November 29. The goal this year is to collect 12 tons of food. Donations can be purchased or dropped off at all Kroger locations in Peoria and East Peoria.
