ATU Local #416 Participates in Labor Day Parade
Members of the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local #416 recently participated in the Peoria Labor Day Parade & Picnic on Monday, September 3, 2018. The parade began at 10 am at Monroe and Fayette Streets and ended at the Gateway Building with the picnic taking place from 10 am to 2 pm at Riverfront Festival Park.
Those who participated in this year’s Labor Day Parade included CityLink, CityLift, and CountyLink operations and maintenance staff – all of which are members of ATU Local #416. Also featured in the parade were a CityLink hybrid bus, the vintage 1975 CityLink bus, and CityLift and CountyLink vehicles.
Coordinated by Peoria Area Community Events (PACE), the Labor Day Parade is a long standing tradition in Peoria. There were over 100 entries of various local trade unions that participated this year.
Thank you to the men and women of the ATU Local #416 for their continued hard work and dedication to providing safe and reliable public transportation to the Greater Peoria Area!
