Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive 12th Annual Day of Stuffing on November 21

On Friday, November 21, 2025 the 12th annual “Day of Stuffing” will be held at the Kroger store located at 801 W. Lake Ave. in Peoria. As part of the Stuff-A-Bus food drive, this event encourages a boost in donations for the 38th annual campaign that benefits the food pantry at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service. 

The public is asked to bring donations or purchase non-perishable food or canned goods at Kroger and place the items on our newly wrapped ‘vintage’ CityLink bus. Several area businesses and organizations, churches, schools and offices that have hosted food drives to benefit Stuff-A-Bus are invited to drop off their donations on November 21 at the Kroger store on Lake Ave.

Representatives from CityLink, the Peoria Friendship House, Cumulus Media, and other volunteers will be at the store beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day until 1:30 p.m. accepting donations. At 10:30 a.m., the Peoria High School band will perform to entertain and inspire shoppers to contribute to the cause. Donated items will be loaded onto the CityLink bus in hopes of making a significant contribution to this year’s goal to collect 10 tons or more donations. 

Here’s how our community can fill the bus:

• Shoppers can select non-perishable items to purchase for Stuff-A-Bus as they shop.  Suggested items include:
  • Baby Food; Canned Meats; Tuna; Soups & Stews; Beans; Cereals; Macaroni & Cheese; Peanut Butter; Canned Vegetables & Fruits; Whole Grain Rice or Pasta, Applesauce; Oatmeal; Bottled Water
• Cash donations will also be accepted for the purchase of non-perishable food to load onto the bus, where every dollar equals one pound of donations to reach our goal.

Updates on the event will be provided throughout the day on the Peoria Cumulus radio stations and on the official Stuff-A-Bus Facebook page.
