New Construction Project Update – Jan. 2023
Happy New Year! The month of January usually brings challenges to construction projects because of poor weather conditions, but we have been lucky in Central Illinois so far this month. This has allowed the crews working on the CityLink construction project to continue to make great progress. The latest updates from the new maintenance and administrative facilities (Phase B) construction project for CityLink, are below.
- Mid-States – Removed precast bracing
- NE Finch – Excavated pits at north end of garage
- Western – Started roofing last week
- Hanley (United Ironworkers) – Detailing steel at admin. and decking at garage
- JJB
- Installed concrete masonry unit (CMU) between electrical & tire rooms
- Installed CMU between tire & equipment rooms
- ANJ Electric
- Excavated for duct bank, installed conduits & poured duct bank in drive lane between garage & south building
- Installed temp lights in garage
- Installed conduit at equipment pits at north end of garage
- Tobin
- Excavating & installing underground plumbing in pits at north end of garage
- Installed floor drains in skylift pits at north end of garage
- Installed roof drains at garage
- Wright-Way – Installing parapet wall between admin & garage
- River City Construction
- Formed diamond pit slab at north end of garage
- Forming skylift pits at north end of garage
- Installed blocking at roof openings at garage
- Installed safety handrail at mezzanine in garage
- Installed temporary heater for garage
- Installed temporary enclosures at admin building 1st floor
- Currently 32.70% complete on Phases B, C, & D
