CityLink Welcomes Angel Marinich as Assistant GM
CityLink recently welcomed Angel Marinich to its management team as an Assistant General Manager. Marinich joins the First Transit Inc. team that manages CityLink’s public transportation services for the greater Peoria area, including Peoria, West Peoria, Peoria Heights, East Peoria and Pekin.
This is Marinich’s first position as an employee of First Transit; however, she has over 20 years of experience in the public transportation industry. Marinich worked at MV Transportation, Inc. for 18 years, and she most recently served as General Manager of the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District paratransit service (CityLift), and the rural Peoria County paratransit service (CountyLink). She was also previously employed at the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in Denver, Colorado for five years.
Marinich’s experience from her time at CityLift and CountyLink offers a strong knowledge of the paratransit sector, and she has cultivated relationships with various governmental entities and accessibility organizations in the Greater Peoria Area. In 2012, Marinich oversaw the transition from the former rural Peoria County transportation service to what is now CountyLink. She has also been involved in labor negotiations between MV Transportation and the ATU Local #416.
In Marinich’s role as Assistant General Manager at CityLink, she is primarily responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Operations Department.
Marinich has been a resident of in Canton, Illinois for over 15 years, and she is married with two children.
