CityLink Offering Complimentary 2021 Peoria Historical Calendar
The public can receive a complimentary 2021 Peoria Historical Calendar in exchange for $5 monetary donation to the 33rd Annual Stuff-A-Bus food drive at the CityLink Administrative offices (2105 NE Jefferson Ave.) now until December 1, 2020. The CityLink Administrative offices are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for Thanksgiving Day (November 26) and the following day (November 27). All proceeds collected during this time will go towards the goal of collecting $10,000 in monetary donations for the purchase of non-perishable food for the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service food pantry.
The 2021 Peoria Historical Calendar includes vintage photographs of local restaurants and eateries found over the years in Peoria. Many of the establishments featured in the calendar are no longer in existence but seeing these images will bring back delicious memories of some of the best places residents and visitors could enjoy a tasty meal or treat. The photographs and content for this year’s calendar were provided by the Peoria Historical Society, Bradley University Special Collections Center, Michael Seghetti and Daryl Klusendorf.
After December 1, the 2021 Peoria Historical Calendar will continue to be available at the CityLink Administration offices for a suggested donation of $5. They will also be available at the CityLink Transit Center (407 SW Adams St.) once the lobby re-opens to the public. All proceeds collected for the calendar will continue to be donated to the Peoria Friendship House after the food drive concludes.
