As part of a process to determine the feasibility of a transfer zone in Peoria’s north side, CityLink hosted a public open house on Tuesday, July 29 to outline potential locations for a facility. In addition, a stakeholders meeting was held at Goodwill Industries Administrative Building that same day.

The advertising encourages Peorians to shop at Alwan & Sons, and receive a single adult bus pass (provided by Alwan & Sons) with the purchase of $40. The striking bus wraps have generated buzz in the Peoria area and created interest in this unique form of marketing.

The City of Peoria received its 4th All-America City title in 2013. As the year-long celebration came to a close, a community art initiative was commissioned from local ceramics artist Jacob Grant. Stickers which asked residents and visitors what makes Peoria an All-America City were filled out throughout the past year.
The stickers were collected and assembled into a mural depicting the Peoria skyline, which was unveiled at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Thursday, June 26th.
