Students Design and Build Unique Cat® Machine at Caterpillar Visitors Center

A unique Cat® Multi-Terrain Loader has taken up residence in the lobby of the Caterpillar Visitors Center during the month of November – and it is not the typical yellow iron visitors may be used to seeing. The Peoria-based FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics team, Robot Casserole, built the Cat® Multi-Terrain Loader over a period of three days, using canned and other non-perishable food products donated by Kroger. Stuff-a-Bus Pulls Off a Hat Trick

It's a couple weeks into the 2013 Stuff-a-Bus food drive to benefit Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service, and a lot has been happening! There were three events just this past week. On Wednesday, Nov. 6, passengers rode free in exchange for a non-perishable food donation.

On Saturday, Nov. 9, CityLink hosted a "Can Build" in which students in the afterschool program at the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service and other volunteers built a replica of a house out of canned food donated by Kroger at the CityLink Transit Center.  ...Read more
